Delavale Project Management
Delavale Project Management is a small consultancy run by Nick Brennan.
Nick Brennan
I have over ten years experience in project management and as a bid writer, establishing Delavale Project Management in 2007 to provide consultancy in the education, training and skills sectors. I help my clients to manage projects and write bids for a number of agencies including EC PHARE, the EC Lifelong Learning Programme and ESF. I have also worked with UK domestic funding agencies including LSC and the regional development agencies.
My experience includes:
- Tender management and bid writer
- Domestic and international project management
- Understanding of European projects and procedures in particular LLP and EC PHARE
- Expertise in different international vocational and academic education systems
- Designing qualification frameworks, occupational standards and curricula
- Experience of credential evaluation
- Design and maintenance of datasets used in the education sector, including:
- Vocational education and skills
- International education systems and qualifications
- Occupational sector data
- Qualification frameworks and benchmarking
I also have close contacts in the teaching sector, schools management, qualifications design, domestic and international project design, translations and researching.
Before setting up Delavale Project Management I had been a senior manager at UK NARIC and was the main bid writer managing a number of projects in the education and skills sector. Recent projects included:
- Vocational Education Project in Sofia, Bulgaria: Wrote successful competitive bid and subsequently managed project budget, local team and international consultants in this one-year project to upgrade vocational qualification standards on behalf of the Ministry of Labour. The outcome of the project was 2500 trained education professionals; 80 upgraded occupational standards and a set of guidelines for writing vocational curricula.
- IT Project Manager for LSC Migrant Skills Project: developing an online database and tracking system to support migrant workers and refugees across the pan-London region to find appropriate employment based on their skills and qualifications.
- Yemen: Successful bid writing for World Bank funded project to develop an accreditation system for Yemeni higher education institutions.
